5/20/2000. What a day! I went to Dayton Hamvention! I met Dave Benson! And I completed, I mean actually COMPLETED a project!!!
My SW40Plus has been done for a while. BUT to take it to the field required a battery, and an antenna tuner. Well the battery is a 67.5 AH deep cycle. UNTIL mid feb, when I purchased 10 C cell nicad's.
So, in march, I mounted the nicads inside the same box the SW40Plus was in, wired, tested, and charged! Then, to power the audio filter, I mounted a 12V AA battery pack inside it's enclosure! THEN all I had to do was replace the BIG MFJ tuner I've been using. Well, I built the tuner that Diz designed for the Minipig 10 BUT didn't get the SWR indicator done until tonight!!
So, finally I have actually COMPLETED my Elmer 101 project! Not too bad, only took 2 years!!!!. Enjoy the pictures!
