PART OF MY HISTORY...

My father, Johnny worked at The San Diego Union as a pressman for 22 years, His nickname was "Tiny". At 6' 4" and 275 lbs, there was just a little irony there.
My mom, Mary, lived in Simi Valley, CA.
I joined the Navy in 1976, went through Basic Training and Basic Electronics school in San Diego. Moved to Great Lakes early in 77 for Electronics Technician 'A' School. Moved to Orlando for Nuclear Power School in 77. Then it was on to Nuclear Prototype Training Unit, Idaho Falls, in march 78, finished as a student in Sept 78, got married, stayed on at A1W Prototype as an instructor until Nov 80, when I went to the USS Von Steuben SSBN 632, in overhaul at Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Co. in Newport News Va, until we moved to Charleston for a couple of months in 82. Went to Advanced Electronics 'C' School in San Diego for 6 months in 83, before moving to Groton for duty on USS Greenling SSN 614. I still have nightmares about that one. I rode Greenling into the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in 84, Moved to Orlando in 85, purchasing a house there while starting up and teaching at Nuclear Field 'A' School. Then in 88 I went back to Groton for a few months on board USS Archerfish SSN 678. Rode it into the yards at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, until 91 when we brought it back to this side. And Finally I transfered to Submarine Group Two in 92, where I was stationed until I retired in 1996. Since then, we have called Ohio our home!
Matt was born in Idaho, now lives in Nawlins, Aaron was born in Newport News, and died in Indianapolis, and Barney came to us after I started working at Group.

The inherent openness of the Internet has historically led to problems 'cataloging' or esablishing a complete directory of people and places on the NET. This has led many sites to establish listings where any user can register their e-mail and WEB page addresses. There doesn't seem to be a definitive Master Site, Mostly I just use Yahoo.
A cool little shortwave receiver. Enjoy...
